My art, like my life, is a journey. Enjoy the process, the self-exploration, the loves and successes as well as the obstacles and set backs. Art is my release and my frustration, my sedative and my stimulant, my escape and my anchor. Having the opportunity to continue working and growing is truly a blessing.

Thank you for stopping by and welcome to my website. This site will show you my current paintings, my murals and my past work as a photographer (the photo gallery contains images created in the 90's).

Though I spent many years as a Fine Art Photographer, I picked up a paint brush when computers replaced the darkroom. I started painting murals in California. I grabbed up every class I could afford, I display my work as the piece develops, and I have been fortunate to display in many wonderful galleries. If artists, art lovers or fun people to talk to, want to offer some constructive criticism, that would be great and would help me learn.

I paint desert landscapes and fantasy art in a series I call Wine, Women, and Song. I also have some misc. pieces that let me play with a subject without committing several pieces and several weeks to a full series of work. I would love to hear from you at awv@awvart.com
